1st Migration and Development Virtual Fair
2-3 November - The EC-UN Joint Migration and Development Initiative (JMDI) is holding a Migration and Development Virtual Fair 2009 in parallel with the GFMD Civil Society Days (2-3 November 2009). The first such M&D event of its kind, it will bring together 1000s of ‘virtual’ visitors to network, explore virtual exhibitions and post questions online to key participants in Athens. GFMD 2009 Background Papers - For comments
15 October - The inter-governmental Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) will be preceded by two Civil Society Days in Athens, Greece (2-3 Nov) where CSOs will draw on their experiences in the field of M&D to input into the inter-governmental discussions. Results of the JMDI Call for Proposals
8 July - The EC-UN Joint Migration and Development Initiative (JMDI) is delighted to announce the results of the Call for Proposals selection process. The Call received an overwhelming response, with a total of 547 submissions received. 55 project proposals were selected to receive funding. More >
